WASHINGTON - A 38-year-old woman who survived a saline abortion in 1977 shared her story before Congress on Wednesday, speaking out against abortion and Planned Parenthood's continued slaughter of unborn children. Gianna Jessen was miraculously born alive at a Los Angeles hospital after her mother sought an abortion while seven months pregnant. Her mother had been advised to have a saline abortion, which burns the child with a caustic chemical and then suffocates them to death. The dead child is then removed the following day. "Instead of dying, after 18 hours of being burned in my mother's womb, I was delivered alive in an abortion clinic in Los Angeles on April the 6th, 1977," Jessen told those gathered. "Thankfully, the abortionist was not at work yet. Had he been there, he would have ended my life with strangulation, suffocation, or leaving me there to die. Instead, a nurse called an ambulance, and I was rushed to a hospital." ...

"I am alive because of the power of Jesus Christ alone, in whom I live, move and have my being," she declared. "Without Him I would have nothing, and with Him I have all."

Excerpt: The sixth Planned Parenthood expose', released on Wednesday, shows a former representative of a company that purchases the organs of aborted babies from Planned Parenthood explaining how the organization sees pregnant women as walking dollar signs and another "opportunity" to make money from their dead babies. "I'm not going to tell a girl to kill her baby just to get money," former Stem Express Representative Holly O'Donnell explains in the interview released by the Center for Medical Progress, "and that's what this company does. Straight up. That's what this company does." She outlines that while her supervisors advised her about the need to obtain consent from women, Planned Parenthood/her co-workers didn't always do so at the California location where she worked. "If there was a higher gestation, and the technicians needed it, there were times when they would just take what they wanted," O'Donnell says. "And these mothers don't know. And there's no way they would know." She states that even women who are simply coming in for pregnancy tests are seen as potential dollar signs. "Pregnancy tests are potential pregnancies, therefore potential specimens. So it's just taking advantage of the opportunities," O'Donnell explains. 

The video also shows documents provided by O'Donnell in regard to the prices paid by the company as well as other paperwork obtained by Stem Express. "The women that I worked for were cold," she says. "They just wanted their money. They didn't care that the girl was throwing up in the trashcan [or] crying. O'Donnell outlines that as part of her job, she would ship the labeled "specimens" via FedEx. "The sad thing is that people [at FedEx] would ask what was in the box, and I didn't know what to say. 'Oh, there's dead baby parts in there.'" The Center for Medical Progress decried the revelation as being inhumane and immoral. "Experiences like Holly O'Donnell's show that Planned Parenthood's abortion and baby parts business is not a safe place where vulnerable women can be cared for, but a harvesting ground for saleable human 'product,'" Director David Daleiden said.

"Taxpayer subsidies to Planned Parenthood's barbaric abortion business should be revoked immediately, and law enforcement and other elected officials must act decisively to determine the full extent of Planned Parenthood's offensive practices and hold them accountable to the law," he continued.

Excerpt: HOUSTON, Texas - The fifth investigative video into Planned Parenthood's harvesting and sale of fetal organs released by the Center for Medical Progress shows a Texas director describing how abortion procedures can be "creatively" altered to pull the baby's body out intact, depending on the demand.

The video, released on Tuesday, captures Melissa Farrell, director of research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast discussing with undercover investigators the "diversification of the revenue stream" over dinner along with a visit to the organization's pathology lab, where workers sort through the remains of aborted babies.

During one segment of the video, the investigators, who pose as potential buyers, ask if abortion procedures can be manipulated to remove certain organs intact-or even the entire baby.

"Just depending on the patient's anatomy, how many weeks, where it's placed in the uterus ... we're going to potentially be able to have some that will be more or less intact and then some that will not be," Farrell responds.

She explains that the organization is willing to "alter" the abortion to accommodate the demand.

"And we've had studies in which the company, or in the case of the investigator, has a specific need for a certain portion of the products of conception and we bake that into our contract, and our protocol, that we follow this," Farrell says. "So we deviate from our standard in order to do that."

"If we alter our process and we are able to obtain intact fetal cadavers, then we can make it part of the budget, that any dissections are this, and splitting the specimens into different shipments is this," she explains. "I mean, it's all just a matter of line items."

Farrell further outlines that when abortionists need to get a whole body part out without crushing it, where there's a will, there's a way.

"When it matters-in the cases of when it's mattered -- physicians also need an intact specimen, they can make it happen. So they do it in a way that they get the best specimens," she says. "So I know it can happen." ...

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott likewise released a statement, but contended that the footage rather shows Planned Parenthood's "disrespect for human life." An investigation is currently being conducted regarding the organization's practices.

"The latest video showing Planned Parenthood's treatment of unborn children in a Houston clinic is repulsive and unconscionable," Abbott said in a statement. "Selling baby body parts is the furthest thing imaginable from providing women's healthcare, and this organization's repeated and systematic disrespect for human life is appalling."

"The State of Texas is aggressively investigating this matter and must use all available legal remedies to address this depraved conduct," he said.

Excerpts: NEW YORK - A video released Tuesday by the Center for Medical Progress shows a top Planned Parenthood director explaining in graphic detail how the abortion giant harvests and sells baby body parts and organs nationwide-a practice that is a felony under federal law. The Center for Medical Progress released the video as the next in its "Human Capital" investigative series, as it researches the organization's illegal sales of fetal body parts in America.

"Planned Parenthood's criminal conspiracy to make money off of aborted baby parts reaches to the very highest levels of their organization," director David Daleiden remarked in a statement. "Elected officials must listen to the public outcry for Planned Parenthood to be held accountable to the law and for our tax dollars to stop underwriting this barbaric abortion business."

The video features abortionist Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood Federation of America's senior director of medical services, who oversees the practices of all the 700-plus Planned Parenthood locations nationwide. Nucatola thinks she's having a business dinner with representatives of a fetal tissue procurement company, but what she doesn't know is that the man and woman that she is speaking with are undercover investigators and are recording her conversation.

SAVING 'SPECIMENS' FOR BUYERS

During the discussion, as she munches nonchalantly on salad, Nucatola explains in detail how the organs and extremities of the aborted babies are decidedly removed intact so that they can be sold to buyers. She outlines that the organizations is paid between $30 to $100 per "specimen." "How much of a difference can that actually make, if you know kind of what's expected, or what we need?" the male investigator asks Nucatola, wanting to find out if Planned Parenthood can set aside certain organs for sale.

"It makes a huge difference," she replies. "I'd say a lot of people want liver. And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they'll know where they're putting their forceps. The kind of rate-limiting step of the procedure is calvarium. Calvarium-the head-is basically the biggest part." "It's very rare to have a patient that doesn't have enough dilation to evacuate the other parts intact," Nucatola explains. "To bring the body cavity out intact and all that?" the man asks. "Exactly," she replies. "So then you're just kind of cognizant where you put your graspers. You try to intentionally go above and below the thorax, so that -- you know. We've been very good at getting the  heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so 'I'm not gonna crush that part. I'm gonna basically crush below, I'm gonna crush above, and I'm gonna see if I can get it all intact.'" ...

LISTS AND 'MENUS'

She mentions a "list" that she refers to in supplying the body parts that are in demand.

"For example, I had eight cases yesterday. And I knew exactly what we needed, and I kinda looked at this list and said, 'Alright, this 17-weeker has 8 LAMs and this one -- so I knew which were the cases that were probably more likely to yield what we needed, and I made my decisions according to that, too. So, it's worth having a huddle at the beginning of the day, and that's what I do." ...

The Center for Medical Progress notes that it is a federal crime-a felony punishable up to 10 years in prison -- to buy or sell fetal body parts in America. It also stated that turning the baby breech -- as Nucatola explained-to remove the child's head intact is the same as a partial-birth abortion and is likewise a federal felony.

Besides, he [Onan] not only defrauded his brother of the right due him, but also preferred his semen to putrify the ground, rather than beget a son in his brother's name.

Verse 10: The Jews quite immodestly gabble concerning this thing. It will suffice for me briefly to have touched upon this as much as modesty in speaking permits. The voluntary spilling of semen outside of intercourse between man and woman is a monstrous thing. Deliberately to withdraw from coitus in order that semen may fall to the ground is doubly monstrous. For this is to extinguish the hope of the race and to kill before he is born -- the hoped for offspring.

This impiety is especially condemned, now by the Spirit through Moses' mouth, that Onan, as it were, by a violent abortion, no less cruelly than filthily cast upon the ground the offspring of his brother, torn from the maternal womb. Besides, in this way he tried, as far as he was able, to wipe out a part of the human race. If any woman ejects a foetus from her womb by drugs, it is reckoned a crime incapable of expiation and deservedly Onan incurred upon himself the same kind of punishment, infecting the earth with his semen, in order that Tamar might not conceive a future human being as an inhabitant of the earth.
