Heaven: A World of God's Love, Perfect Tranquility and Joy, by Jonathan Edwards, With Related Free Resources On Heaven and Hell by Paul Washer & Many Others

"Believers shall enjoy him perfectly and immediately in heaven, without intermission or abatement, and that for ever. This is called 'seeing him as he is' (1 John 3:2) and 'being with him where he is, to behold his glory' (John 17:24). In order to fit them for it, their souls shall be made capable of receiving it, by the removal not only of all sinful but of all natural imperfections, and shall be more enlarged, as well as have brighter discoveries of the divine glory. They shall also have a perfect freedom not only from all temptations to sin, but from all the consequences of it -- such as sorrow, divine desertion, [See Note C, page 8,] and the many evils that attend us in the present life. Thus their happiness shall be so confirmed and secured to them, that it shall be impossible for them to be dispossessed of it. This is certainly the most desirable end, next to the glory God, that can be intended or pursued by us." - Thomas Ridgeley, Commentary on the Westminster Larger Catechism ("The Enjoying of God"), Vol. 1, p. 7 (emphases added), on the Puritan Hard Drive.

"Some have asked whether we shall know one another in heaven? Surely, our knowledge will not be diminished, but increased. The judgement of Luther and Anselm, and many other divines is, that we shall know one another; yea, the saints of all ages, whose faces we never saw; and, when we shall see the saints in glory without their infirmities of pride end passion, it will be a glorious sight."  - Thomas Watson, emphases added (on the Puritan Hard Drive)

Jim Dodson Reviews and Recommends the Puritan Hard Drive

JimDodson.jpg

If you love the Bible, then you may well be Reformed. If you think of yourself as Reformed, but you have seldom or have never read older Reformed literature, prepare to be challenged. The Puritan Hard Drive provides primary sources and depth of theological and spiritual insight which is lacking in much of what is passed off as genuine Reformed theology. If you think of yourself as conservative, the older Puritan and Reformed authors will help you sort reality from myth in your quest to be truly Reformed. There are more solid resources for less money here than anywhere else. I highly recommend you take responsibility for your soul and spend a few shekels for this cup of cold water in the midst of the modern religious desert.
