The Infinity of God by Dr. Curt D. Daniel (Free MP3)

The attribute of God's immensity flows from His infinite being. It is an attribute in respect to place and time. In respect to place God is immense -- He is everywhere present in the fullness of His being. There is no place where He is not. The indivisible eternity of God embraces all divisible times, not coextensively or formally, but eminently and indivisibly. We should notice that the immense God embraces in His immensity all the extended and divisible parts of the world because wherever He is He is there wholly. This does not mean He is the chair, or lamppost, or car, as the New Agers would like to think. But it does mean He is everywhere present in the totality of His being. The chair, lamppost and car all have their being in Him -- He upholds them all. If He did not uphold them they would cease to exist. The Creator is distinct from the creature. The Bible teaches this very plainly as we will see. - God and Song: An Inquiry Into the Eternity of God in relation to Church Worship by Dr. C. Matthew McMahon

To go deeper study: 78 FREE SWRB MP3s: Existence & Attributes of God (A Puritan/Reformed Classic) by Stephen Charnock

"The Existence and Attributes of God is the greatest Puritan treatise on the perfections of God, and perhaps the greatest of all times. Here, Stephen Charnock reflects on Scripture to develop a better understanding of the nature and being of God. In true Puritan fashion, Charnock makes practical application of all the doctrinal content he develops. Thus, Charnock's work is rightly regarded as simultaneously a scholarly and devotional classic." - Dr. Joel Beeke

"And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven." - John 3:13 (KJV). Not which was, but which is (in heaven); he comes from heaven by incarnation, and remains in heaven by his divinity. He was, while he spake to Nicodemus, locally on earth, in regard of his humanity, but in heaven according to his deity, as well as upon earth in the union of his divine and human nature. He descended upon earth, but he left not heaven; he was in the world before he came in the flesh. - Stephen Charnock, The Existence and Attributes of God

Eternity by Charles Hodge

The name Yahweh is related to the verb “to be,” as in the phrase “I Am Who I Am” (Ex. 3:14). Yahweh thus means “I Am.” That Yahweh means “I Am” tells us several important things about God’s identity. First, it shows that the Lord’s character is unchangeable. We can say of ourselves, “I was x last year, but now I am y, and next week I could be z,” but not our Creator. Yesterday He says, “I Am,” today He says, “I Am,” and tomorrow He says, “I Am.” He cannot learn any new information or become more holy. None of God’s perfections can be subtracted or added to. He can never be anything other than what He is today. There is absolutely no shadow of change for our Creator (James 1:17). Importantly, Jesus speaks of Himself in similar terms (the “I Am” sayings of John; see 8:58, for example), which reveals that He is one with the Father and worthy of worship and praise. A vital difference between God’s essence and our own is also revealed in the name Yahweh. Human beings and the Lord both possess the attribute of “beingness” — we both exist. Yet our being is derivative, as we have not always existed. On the other hand, God is self-existent: He has always been and can never cease to be (Ps. 90:2). - Yahweh

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. - John 8:58, KJV, emphases added

Who Is Jesus Christ? (1 John Series 23/27) - The Way, The Truth and the Life by Pastor Greg Price (Free MP3)

I (the Lord Jesus Christ - ed.) said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. - John 8:24, KJV, emphases added

Jesus is God! By Dr. C. Matthew McMahon

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate the undeniable Biblical witness to the historical fact that Jesus Christ, the only Redeemer of men, is God. He alone made the claims, and the Biblical record makes this known repeatedly.

Dr. Matthew McMahon Reviews and Recommends the Puritan Hard Drive

Dr. Matthew McMahon, A Puritan's Mind

In the history of the church's sanctification I don't believe there has been a more valuable extra-biblical resource and tool than the Puritan Hard Drive.

It holds some of the most priceless Reformed works of God-centered and Christ-glorifying truth that were ever penned.

Most students, ministers and scholars of the Bible would never personally acquire even half the literal number of books on the Puritan Hard Drive, much less the extreme caliber of its contents.

In God's providence modern day Christians have been chosen to be the recipients of both a theological and practical blessing. May we not squander it.

- Matthew McMahon, Ph.D.  A Puritan's Mind
