2 for 1 Customer Appreciation Puritan Hard Drive Sale Guaranteed Until This FRIDAY (May 24, 2013) At 11:59PM (ET)

Recently, our 2 for 1 Puritan Hard Drive (PHD) Super Sale started as a way to reduce excess inventory. However, we have been so moved by the outpouring of big-hearted Christian generosity and kindness (some even buying two PHDs for others, while not even buying one for themselves), from the many people who used the 2 for 1 sale to obtain Puritan Hard Drives for others in need (who often could not afford a PHD themselves, though they have desired to obtain the PHD for some time), that we have decided to renew the 2 for 1 sale one more time, until this FRIDAY at 11:59PM (ET). Some people have also asked us for a little more time and we know some people are still on the fence about this purchase, so, Lord willing, this will be helpful to everyone in these positions.

We also believe our Lord would have us do this, to get more of His truth around, to bless more of His people and to bring more declarative glory to His great name (all by His grace) -- as we are able to get many more Puritan Hard Drives into the hands of those who need them most with a 2 for 1 offer. Moreover, after all the soul stirring testimonies of rejoicing we have heard in conjunction with the 2 for 1 offer (from both buyers and receivers of free Puritan Hard Drives), we would like to give everybody one more chance to take part in this blessedness from our Lord -- because "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35).

Lord's Supper (Communion)

  • "For everyone to be admitted to the Lord’s Supper, without distinction or selection, is a sign of contempt that the Lord cannot endure. The Lord himself distributed the supper to his disciples only. Therefore anyone not instructed in the doctrine of the gospel ought not to approach what the Lord has instituted. No one should be distressed when his Christianity is examined even down to the finest point when he is to be admitted to the Lord’s Supper. It should be established as part of the total state and system of discipline that ought to flourish in the church that those who are judged unworthy should not be admitted." - John Calvin, "Letter on Various Subjects" in the book Calvin’s Ecclesiastical Advice.
  • "An incident that happened a few years ago in my ministry might be cited in this connection, it seems to me, as an apt illustration. One of the ablest men I ever knew—the pastor of a neighboring congregation—accosted me on the street one day and said, 'One thing about your Church I could never understand, that is, your position on Close Communion.' In reply I said, 'In point of principle our views on that question are the same as yours.' 'How is that?' he said. 'Suppose,' said I, 'that one of your members should strike a child down with an ax and kill it, would your Session allow him to go to the Lord's table at the next communion?' 'Well,' said he, 'I should hope not.' 'Why?' I asked. 'Why, because he violated the Sixth Commandment,' he said. 'But,' I protested, 'he might hold that what he did was not murder.' 'Oh,' said my friend, 'we would not leave that to him; we would take that matter into our own hands.' 'You mean to say,' I said, 'that your Session would assume the responsibility of interpreting the Sixth Commandment and also of passing judgment on the man's conduct, as to whether it was a violation of the Commandment thus interpreted.' 'Precisely,' he said. 'Well, then,' said I, 'why should you object to our Sessions when they do the same thing with respect to the First Commandment, and the Second, and the Third?' 'Oh, I see,' he said, 'and what is more I believe you are right; it never occurred to me in that light; with you Close Communion means that the Reformed Presbyterian Church intends to honor the Moral Law as the Church apprehends it, before anyone shall be permitted to take a seat at the Lord's table under its jurisdiction and oversight.' 'Yes,' said I, 'that is the exact situation as we see it;' and the man was satisfied. After all, to any person who really stops to consider, it is only a question of clear thinking and a sincere purpose to follow orders." - W.J. McKnight, Pastor of the First Reformed Presbyterian Church Boston (RPCNA), Concerning Close Communion, 1930.
  • "Although ignorant and wicked men receive the outward elements in this sacrament; yet, they receive not the thing signified thereby; but, by their unworthy coming thereunto, are guilty of the body and blood of the Lord, to their own damnation. Wherefore, all ignorant and ungodly persons, as they are unfit to enjoy communion with Him, so are they unworthy of the Lord's table; and cannot, without great sin against Christ, while they remain such, partake of these holy mysteries, or be admitted thereunto." - Westminster Confession of Faith, "Of the Lord Supper," Chapter 29:8, 1647, Original Edition.
  • "... lay people who refuse to learn (the catechism—ed.) should not be admitted to the Sacrament, and fathers must insist that children learn to recite these basics" - Martin Luther, Oxford Encyclopedia of the Reformation, Vol. 1, p. 276.

Pastor Paul Washer Reviews and Recommends
the Puritan Hard Drive

Pastor Paul Washer

Pastor Paul Washer, HeartCry Missionary Society

"In the history of extra-biblical study and research tools there has never before been a resource as useful as the Puritan Hard Drive."

With the Puritan Hard Drive I can now carry one of the largest Puritan and Reformed libraries in my pocket.

No matter where I am, as long as there is some form of power source to operate a computer, I have access to some of the best Puritan and Reformed literature available.

The Puritan Hard Drive is a tremendous blessing. I travel frequently to many parts of the globe. The Puritan Hard Drive allows me to continue my studies on the road with the same depth as when I am seated in my study at home.

The wonderful portability of this massive Puritan library (and remarkable research software) makes the Puritan Hard Drive ideal for missionaries, students, or anyone who needs instant access to the best Reformation study materials in a variety of locations.

There is much more to the Puritan Hard Drive than just convenience, portability and the exceptional quality and extraordinary number of Reformation resources it includes. Even if a minister owned the largest printed Puritan library in the world, he would not be able to properly research the material. However, the KnowledgeBase software on the Puritan Hard Drive provides an effective road map to access the material in ways that are easy-to-use, organized and highly productive. With the click of a button, you can easily do ten hours worth of research in just seconds!

Having the Puritan Hard Drive is like owning the largest Puritan and Reformed Library in the world along with a full time research assistant with his PhD in Puritan Studies from Oxford or Cambridge.

Imagine not only owning the largest Puritan and Reformed library, but having a full-time team of world-class research assistants at your beck and call.

The high level of educational and scholarly functionality, combined with a marvelous library of over 12,500 top Puritan and Reformed resources and an extremely reasonable price, really makes obtaining the Puritan Hard Drive a stewardship issue. It is almost as if God is saying, "Here is a tool that will lead you to more truth faster than ever before. Make the best possible use of it and bring much glory to My Name." (2 Timothy 2:15, Ephesians 5:16).

In the history of extra-biblical study and research tools there has never before been a resource as useful as the Puritan Hard Drive. The immense body of Reformation material (books, MP3s and videos) on the Puritan Hard Drive, along with the phenomenal proprietary software program that is included, makes the Puritan Hard Drive a valuable tool for Reformation in our day.

As a member of the HeartCry Missionary Society, I am witness to the great needs of Christians throughout the globe. Possibly the greatest need is sound Christian literature. Even though many Third World pastors read English, they have very few good books available to them. Even if we could afford to buy each indigenous minister a small library, the cost of shipping would be astronomical.  With the Puritan Hard Drive we can provide pastors throughout the globe with one of the most complete Puritan and Reformed libraries at a fraction of the cost.

The Puritan Hard Drive is also ideal for situations where concealment is a priority in countries which are hostile to the Gospel. The Puritan Hard Drive is the most compact way to smuggle the light of over 12,500 Reformation resources (with powerful study software) into the spiritual darkness of those nations that are in most need of Gospel truth.
